STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to Maritime College, in straight sets, at the Sports and Recreation Center on Thursday evening. Set scores were 25-11, 25-7, and 25-4.
After dropping the first set, Yeshiva (0-14, 0-9 Skyline) grabbed a 2-1 lead in the second thanks to back-to-back kills by senior middle blocker

Julie Chase gave YU a 3-2 lead, but Maritime (4-19, 2-10 Skyline) responded with a 23-4 run to clinch the second game and put the Blue and White on the brink.
The Privateers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third set. The Maccabees countered with a kill courtesy of senior right side hitter

Rebekah Bargraser to even the game. Maritime took over from that point, scoring 23 of the set's last 25 points to earn the sweep.
For the Maccabees, Schreier and Teigman each produced two assists, with the latter recording a pair of digs.
Yeshiva University will host a tri-match, at Baruch College, on Sunday. YU will host Skyline foe St. Joseph's College Long Island at 12:00 p.m., and then take on Baruch College in a non-conference matchup at 4:00 p.m.
