EDGEWATER, N.J. – The Yeshiva University men's tennis team earned a convincing victory in its Skyline Conference opener over Mount Saint Mary College, 8-1, at the Binghamton Racquet Club on Monday evening. The defending five-time Skyline Conference champion Maccabees (6-5, 1-0 Skyline) now extend their Skyline winning streak to 31 matches, dating back to 2014.
The Macs won all three doubles flights and went 5-1 in singles play over the Knights (2-1, 0-1 Skyline).
"It was a good first win in conference for the season," Yeshiva University head coach
Jon Rubinstein said. "It was hard coming back from the break, but the guys improved as the day went on and fought to the end."

Lior Brik dominated their No. 1 doubles battle, 8-1. Freshman

Samuel Edery came out on top in a competitive second doubles flight, 8-5. Freshman
Jeremy Brody and first-year player
Meir Melamed won every game at No. 3 doubles.
In singles, Cohen won both sets at the first position, by scores of 6-1. Brik was victorious at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Junior
Alexander Kalb won both sets at No. 4 singles by identical scores of 6-2. Brody only lost one game in his two-set victory at the fifth position, while Edery won every game at the sixth flight.
Yeshiva will continue Skyline play on Wednesday, at Farmingdale State College, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
