"For this team, this win is a culmination of all their hard work," Yeshiva University head coach
Marc Zharnest said. "It's nice when your players start realizing the culmination of their efforts.
Pavel's first tally came in the 29
th minute as she rebounded the ball off the opposing goalkeeper and tipped it into the net to give the Maccabees a 1-0 advantage. YU went on to earn the non-conference victory, 2-0.

Shani Kravetz turned aside the only two shots she faced, as she earned the first shutout of her collegiate career.
The Maccabees were aggressive on the attack, generating 20 shots for the afternoon.
"I'm super proud of every single one of the young ladies," Zharnest said. "They fight hard from start to finish and today we were able to come out on top. I hope this is this is the start of many good wins to come and I know we will definitely build off it!"
