FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University women's tennis team suffered a hard-fought Skyline loss to Sarah Lawrence College, 6-3, at the USTA National Tennis Center on Tuesday evening.
The Gryphons (7-3, 3-2 Skyline) won all three doubles flights. The Maccabees (0-4, 0-4 Skyline improved in singles play by splitting the six matches.
Junior
Esther Ackerman remains undefeated in singles play this season, by winning at the first position, 6-1, 6-0. She is now 4-0 in singles matches, including a 2-0 mark at the first flight.
Sophomore
Liana Friedman won at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Classmate
Tali Kletnicki finished the night strong for Yeshiva by claiming the No. 6 singles battle, 6-2, 7-6 (3).
Yeshiva will travel to Westchester on Thursday to battle Manhattanville College in a Skyline matchup. First serve is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
