FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's volleyball team dropped its Skyline Conference match to Farmingdale State College, in straight sets, at the Nold Hall Athletic Complex on Wednesday evening. Set scores were 25-7, 25-6, and 25-10.
The Rams (14-9, 9-1 Skyline) led from wire-to-wire in each of the three sets.
Leading the way for the Maccabees (0-11, 0-10 Skyline) was sophomore middle blocker
Hannah Aaron who slammed home four kills and registered a pair of digs. First-year libero
Aleesa Elbaum and rookie outside hitter
Ashley Botnick each anchored the defense with four digs and had an assist on the offensive end. The former scored a service ace. Junior setter
Tali Miller had a solid match with four assists and two digs. Junior right side hitter
Emily Zrihen had a kill and three digs, while sophomore defensive specialist
Zoey Botnick added a successful attack of her own. Junior middle blocker
Devorah Batt produced a kill.
Yeshiva will return to the friendly confines of the Max Stern Athletic Center, on Thursday, for a Skyline Conference matchup against College of Mount Saint Vincent. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
