NEW YORK – The Yeshiva University women's soccer team returned to the pitch for the first time since 2019 on Sunday, as the Maccabees opened the 2021 campaign with a Skyline matchup against the Bears of St. Joseph's College Brooklyn. Yeshiva fell by a score of 12-0 at Randall's Island Field 10.
Senior defender Christine Di Bartolo netted the match-winner for the Bears (5-3-1, 2-2-0 Skyline), 2:04 into the contest, her first of six goals during the afternoon.
The Maccabees' (0-1-0, 0-1-0 Skyline) attack was led by junior forward

Kayla Cagan, who each registered a shot. Nitzan's shot was on net. First-year goalkeeper
Sophie Dubin made 13 saves for YU, while senior netminder Reem Shaban earned the shutout for St. Joseph's Brooklyn.
Yeshiva's next match will be against Purchase College on Tuesday. Time and location will be announced soon.
