FLUSHING, N.Y. – Junior
Esther Ackerman notched her second singles victory of the season on Wednesday evening, but it was not enough as the Yeshiva University women's tennis team fell to Skyline opponent Farmingdale State College by a score of 8-1. The league match took place at the USTA National Tennis Center.
Ackerman was victorious at No. 2 singles, 7-6 (6), 7-5. She has now won three matches (two singles battles and one doubles flight) in YU's two contests so far this year.
The Maccabees will host the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's College Long Island, on Thursday, at the USTA National Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
