RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's soccer team's historic run this season came to an end in the Skyline Conference Semifinals, on Wednesday afternoon, as No. 6 YU fell to No. 2 College of Mount Saint Vincent, 1-0, in double overtime. The Dolphins will battle either the Mariners of Merchant Marine or the Valiants of Manhattanville in the Skyline Championship match on Saturday. The Maccabees earned their first trip to the conference semifinal round in program history and will look to carry that momentum into the 2022 season.
Yeshiva (5-8-1) committed a hand ball inside the box with less than four minutes remaining in the second overtime period. Carlos Romero took advantage by scoring on the penalty kick to send Mount Saint Vincent (13-1-2) to the league championship contest.
The Maccabees outshot the Dolphins, 17-11, during the afternoon. Each team took three corner kicks.
Sagi Badash made three saves for Yeshiva, including a shot he denied off a free kick by jumping up and slapping the ball over the net with his right hand. Joel Luna made nine saves to earn the shutout win for Mount Saint Vincent.
Naor Dahan led the Maccabees' attack with three shots on goal and five overall.

Jess Rom each produced two shots that were on target.
