KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to the United States Merchant Marine Academy, at the Brooks Stadium Courts, on Tuesday evening. It was the regular season finale for both teams.
The Maccabees (2-3, 2-3 Skyline) clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Skyline Conference Championships and will look to win their seventh straight league title. Yeshiva will battle No. 1 seed Manhattanville College in the semifinal round on Thursday, at the Manhattanville Tennis Courts, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
USMMA (4-1, 4-1 Skyline) finished in a three-way tie for first in the conference but will enter the postseason as the No. 3 seed due to the tiebreaker. The Mariners will take on the No. 2 seed Rams of Farmingdale State College in the other semifinal match on Thursday.
