After Mount Saint Vincent scored the next point, Zrihen slammed home a kill to inflate the Blue and White's advantage to 8-5. The Dolphins turned the tide by going on an 8-2 run to jump out in front, 13-10.

YU would not go down without a fight, as the Maccabees produced their own 8-2 run, capped off by a kill from Elbaum, to put YU ahead by a score of 18-15. However, the Dolphins went on a 7-1 blitz to regain the lead for good, 22-19, on their way to winning the third set and clinching the match.
