RIDGEFIELD, N.J. - The Yeshiva University softball team dropped both Skyline games to Farmingdale State College, 12-0 and 9-0, at Overpeck Park on Tuesday evening.
Yeshiva (0-17, 0-10 Skyline) was led by junior
Yael Dannenbaum who slapped a single through the right side in YU's first at bat of game two. Second-year player
Esther Miller drew a walk at the plate and pitched three scoreless innings in the circle.Â
In game one, freshman Ava Shorr pitched five perfect innings for the Rams (22-3, 13-1Â Skyline). She struck out seven YU batters in five innings pitched to earn her 11
th victory of the season. Junior Brooke Walker hit an inside-the-park home run in the top of the fifth inning. Junior Gia D'Andrea earned her first victory of the season in the circle during game two.
The Maccabees will return to Overpeck Park, on Wednesday, for a Skyline doubleheader against SUNY Old Westbury. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
