MILTON, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's cross country team earned a victory in its dual meet against Skyline rival Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.), 21-37, at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome on Sunday afternoon.
Yeshiva earned the top three individual finishes. Senior
Marshall Northman was the top finisher in the 5k race, with a personal best time of 16:54. This marks the second race the Shaker Heights native has won during his collegiate career. Last season, he won the race at the same course in the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational (17:15) back on September 5, 2021.
Coming in second place was junior
Gadiel Polster, who ran 3.1 miles in 18:24, a collegiate-career best. Earning the bronze was newcomer
Ben Klarfeld, who finished the race in 20:21.
Also competing for the Maccabees in the 5k event was junior
Avishye Moskowitz (20:50), senior
Kyle Seidel (21:59), classmate
Yisroel Tannenbaum (22:50), junior
Samuel Metz (23:45), and first-year runner
Jonathan Werta (25:53).
Yeshiva will participate in the Br. Daddy Doyle Meet of Champions, hosted by Iona University, at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday morning. The 8k race will begin at 10:45 a.m.
