BETHPAGE, NY - Getting out onto the grass for the first time in the 2026 season, the Yeshiva Men's Cross Country Team competed at Adelphi University's XC Invite.
The Maccabees were one of 18 teams competing, lining up alongside: Cornell University, Monmouth University, Iona University, Bryant University, Central Connecticut College, Hofstra University, Adelphi University, Long Island University, Molloy University, Queens College, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Maritime College, Caldwell University, St. Joseph's University Long Island, Farmingdale State College, Sarah Lawrence College, American International College, and The College at Old Westbury.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- As a team, the Maccabees finished with a score of 437, good enough for 16th out of 18 teams. YU finished ahead of a pair of fellow Skyline teams, beating out both Old Westbury and Sarah Lawrence.
- Individually, the Macs were led by Avishai Jutkowitz, with the junior placing 93rd with a time of 31:53.2.
- Finishing less than 15 spots behind his teammate, Jacob Rothman placed 106th with a time of 33:28.0.
- Rounding out the field for YU, Jonathan Sheinman finished 114th, Shmuel Ziffer finished 136th, Aharon Cohen finished 143rd, Kovi Pahmer finished 149th, and David Deutsch finished 156th.
