Lange Elevated to Men’s Cross Country Head Coach

NEW YORK, NY - Rising up through the coaching ranks, Steven Lange has been named the Yeshiva Men's Cross Country Head Coach.

Lange first joined Yeshiva back in the Fall of 2025, serving as an assistant coach for the men's cross country program. He has been elevated to the position of Head Coach starting with the Fall 2026 season following the departure of Alex Petrecca.

A self-proclaimed running fanatic, running has always been a major part of Lange's life, having competed in both track and field and cross country during both his high school and college career. His success has continued post-grad, with a particular focus on trail running, mountain running, and ultramarathoning. His efforts have resulted in multiple podium finishes, as well as a sponsorship with performance shoe brand Inov8.

On top of his work with Yeshiva's program, Lange runs his own online coaching business, helping runners prepare for races ranging from one to 100 miles in length. He enjoys teaching athletes crucial principles, helping them understand how to train intelligently, consistently, and with purpose.

Lange currently resides in Stanhope, NJ, where he also owns a painting business.
