NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's tennis team earned a thrilling Skyline Conference victory over Mount Saint Mary College, 5-4, at the New Rochelle Racquet Club on Tuesday evening. The Maccabees advance to 1-1 in league play, while the Knights fall to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
The Macs won two out of three doubles flights and then claimed three of the six singles courts to earn the narrow victory.

Shira Adler, who teamed with fellow newcomer
Micka Mimoun to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-3. The Teaneck native also led off the singles competition with a victory at the third position, 6-2, 6-1. Senior
Nicole Abittan clinched the conference victory for the Maccabees by winning at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-0.
Sophomores
Sarah Leiderman and
Sarah Grunseid claimed No. 3 doubles for the Maccabees in convincing fashion, 8-1.
Junior
Tali Kletnicki was victorious at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
The Knights won the final two singles flights, but it would not be enough as the Maccabees won three of the first four singles contests to secure themselves the key Skyline win.
Yeshiva will battle St. Joseph's University Long Island, in a conference showdown at the SJNY Outdoor Field Complex, on Thursday. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
