PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University men's tennis team suffered a Skyline loss to the defending league champion Manhattanville College, 7-2, at the Manhattanville Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon. The Macs drop to 4-2 in conference play (4-10 overall), while the Valiants remain perfect against league competition at 6-0 (7-4 overall).
Manhattanville won two out of three doubles courts and then claimed five out of six singles flights to earn the league victory.
Leading the way for the Maccabees was rookie
Mark Adler who won two close matches. First, he teamed up with fellow first-year player
Michael Natkin and won a very close No. 2 doubles battle, 8-7 (5). He then went on to win a nail-biting contest at No. 5 singles, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3).
Yeshiva will host Mount Saint Mary College, in a conference battle at Brookdale Park Tennis Center, on Thursday evening. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
