MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The No. 3-seed Yeshiva University men's tennis team earned a convincing victory in the opening round of the Skyline Championships over sixth-seeded St. Joseph's University Long Island, 5-0, at Brookdale Park Tennis Center on Tuesday evening. Yeshiva (7-10) will battle No. 2-seed Farmingdale State College (12-3) in the semifinal round of the conference postseason on Thursday, at Farmingdale State Tennis Courts, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Pinny Balsam won every game at No. 3 doubles to give the Macs (7-10) a 1-0 lead in the match. Next, first-year player

Eli Hanuka padded Yeshiva's advantage with an 8-2 victory at the second doubles court. Senior
Yoni Mayer and rookie
Kobi Ciment clinched the Macs' sweep of doubles play with a tight victory at the first position, 8-6.
Rookie
Israel Bussu put YU on the brink of victory with a dominating triumph at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Then, Jeselsohn punched Yeshiva's ticket to the conference semifinal round with a win at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-1.

Jon Rubinstein said. "The guys are pumped for semifinals on Thursday!"
After the match, Yeshiva University honored its three graduating seniors, Hanuka, Jeselsohn, and Mayer with a Senior Night Ceremony.
