PURCHASE, NY - Capping off a season that saw the Maccabees post a 3-3 conference record and secure the No. 4 seed in the Conference Playoffs, the Yeshiva Women's Tennis Team fell to Manhattanville University in the Skyline Semi-Finals, losing to the Valiant by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
About the result, Head Coach Ira Miller had to say, "A tough match against a very good team. The ladies fought hard. Very proud!"
The Macs finish out the season with an overall record 4-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:
- Despite fighting hard against the top team in the conference, Yeshiva could not capture a win in doubles play, ceding the point to Manhttanville.
- The duos of Shira Adler/Gabrielle Resnick and Sarah Leiderman/Anna Laufer could not overcome their Valiant foes, falling 6-1 and 6-2 respectively.
Singles:
- Playing their best to the very last, the Macs could not turn around their fate in singles play.
- Adler (6-1, 6-1), Leiderman (6-1, 6-1) and Micka Mimoun (6-0, 6-0) were all downed, seeing Manhattanville take the 4-0 victory.
