NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Taking on their first conference opponent of the season, the Yeshiva softball team fell to Farmingdale State College, losing to the Rams by scores of 16-0 and 11-0 on Friday, Mar. 22.
 
With the losses, the Macs are 0-10, 0-2 in conference play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 16-0)

• Yeshiva surrendered runs in all but one inning, giving up three in the first, seven in the second, three in the third and three in the fourth.
   
• YU's lone base runner came in the bottom of the third, when Rachel Lincer drew a leadoff walk. However, three straight Maccabee strikeouts left Lincer stranded on first.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 11-0)

• The Macs managed to hold the Rams scoreless in the third inning of game two, giving up five runs in the first, two in the second, two in the fourth and one in the fifth.
   
• Yeshiva's defense stepped up in a big way, allowing only 11 runs, the fewest so far this season.
