BROOKLYN, NY - Taking on their final non-conference opponent of the season, the Yeshiva softball team dropped a doubleheader at Brooklyn College, losing to the Bulldogs by scores of 12-0 and 11-0 on Tuesday, Apr. 9.

Alexis Leibowitz had a solid game in the circle for the Maccabees, as the Baltimore native pitched two complete games, striking out four of the 55 batters she faced in the process.

With the losses, the Macs are now 0-20 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 12-0)
- Yeshiva struggled in game one, failing to get a man on base while surrendering five runs in the first inning, five runs in the third and two runs in the fourth.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 11-0)
- While YU's defense proved more effective in game two, holding Brooklyn to one fewer run at 11, the Maccabee offense could not keep up.

- Yeshiva had a chance at a hot start in the top of the first inning. After reaching first on a walk, Kyra Appel reached second on a wild pitch, but was ultimately left stranded by a Mac groundout.

Returning to conference play, the Maccabees will travel out to Purchase College on Wednesday, Apr. 10 at 3:00 PM.
