FARMINGDALE, NY - Taking on their final opponent of April, the Yeshiva baseball team fell to Farmingdale State College, dropping the doubleheader by scores of 32-0 and 43-1 on Sunday, Apr. 14.
With the losses, the Macs are now 0-22, 0-16 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 32-0)
- The Maccabee offense struggled in game one, recording just one hit when Joshua Mintz doubled to center field in the top of the seventh inning. While Coby Kamish would join his teammate on base the very next at-bat, jogging to first after drawing a walk, the inning was ended by a 4-3 double play.
- Unfortunately, Yeshiva's defense could not keep Farmingdale in check, surrendering three runs in the first inning, seven in the second, two in the third, three in the fourth, six in the fifth and 11 in the sixth.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 43-1)
- The Maccabee bats proved more effective in game two, as YU tallied six hits and a run over seven innings.
- Yeshiva's score occurred in the bottom of the seventh. After reaching on a fielder's choice, advancing to second on a throwing error and making his way to third on a groundout, Eli Zirdok sprinted home when Jacob Shakin blasted a single out to center field.
- On top of his RBI single, Shakin had two more hits on the day, singling to left in the first and third innings.
