RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ - Seeing moments of offensive explosion, the Yeshiva baseball team fell to Maritime College, dropping a doubleheader to the Privateers by scores of 14-2 and 23-1 on Friday, May 3.
Offensively, the Maccabees saw two towering shots from
Jacob Shakin, as the sophomore smoked the first two home runs of his young Maccabee career.
From the mound,
Jesse Rosenblum performed well in relief of
Joshua Mintz, allowing just three earned runs and recording a strikeout over two innings pitched.
With the losses, the Macs are now 0-24, 0-18 in conference play.

- Undeterred, the YU bats came alive in the seventh inning. After reaching first on a walk, Menachim Kanofsky was brought home by Shakin's first fence-clearer of the day, notching Yeshiva's first two runs in the process.
