HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 16-0)
- Yeshiva struggled in game one, failing to record a baserunner through five innings.
Â
- YU's defense was not able to limit Old Westbury in the same way, conceding seven runs in the first inning, four in the second, four in the third and one in the fourth.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 17-0)
- The Maccabee attack proved far more effective in game two, recording two hits.
Â
- One of those hits set up YU's best chance to score. After singling to center field, Appel advanced to second when Talia Finn drew a walk, putting herself in prime position to round home. Unfortunately, both runners were left stranded following a Jordyn Guritzky strikeout.
