NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Taking on their third conference opponent of the season, the Yeshiva softball team dropped a doubleheader to Manhattanville College, losing by scores of 10-0 and 8-0 on Friday, Apr. 5.

Offensively, the Maccabees saw a pair of hits on the day, as
Ashley Botnick and
Tova Hakakian effectively put the ball in play.

Shira Sredni had a Herculean performance from the circle. Pitching full games in both matchups, Sredni tossed a combined ten innings, facing down 49 batters in the process.

With the losses, the Macs are now 0-16, 0-6 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 10-0)
- Yeshiva surrendered ten runs through the first two innings, giving up six in the first and four in the second.

- YU's only offense came from the bat of Botnick, who smacked a single to right field on the Macs' first at bat of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 8-0)
- Once again struggling early, the Macs saw Manhattanville score eight runs in the first inning.

- Yeshiva's lone hit came from Hakakian, who clobbered a single to center field in the third inning.

Devoting a doubleheader to the graduating class, the Macs will host senior day on Sunday, Apr. 7 at 5:00 PM/7:00 PM, welcoming St. Joseph's University Brooklyn to the Bronx.
