BRONX, NY - Playing their final home series of the month, the Yeshiva women's softball team fell to St. Joseph's University Brooklyn, dropping the doubleheader by scores of 17-0 and 13-0 on Sunday, Apr. 7.

Before the games, the Maccabees took a moment to honor eight graduating seniors, thanking
Ashley Botnick, Jordyn Gurtizky,
Kyra Appel,
Rachel Lincer,
Shayna Kahane,
Shira Sredni, Yael Genaur and
Zoey Botnick for their indelible contributions to the program.

With the losses, the Macs are now 0-18, 0-8 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (17-0)
- The Maccabees posted one hit in game one, when Appel smacked a single to center field in the bottom of the fifth inning.

- Unfortunately, that level of production could not match SJBK's output, as YU surrendered eight runs in the first, two in the third, one in the fourth, and sixth in the fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (13-0)
- Doubling their production game to game, Yeshiva recorded two hits in game two. Appel once again singled to center field, this time in the second inning, and Elle Ohayon recorded her first collegiate hit, singling to second base in the bottom of the fourth.

- Yeshiva was once again outpaced by SJBK however, with the Bears putting up nine runs in the first, two in the second and two in the third.
