FARMINGDALE, NY - Taking on their first conference foe of the season, the Yeshiva Women's Tennis team fell to Farmingdale State College, losing to the Rams by a score of 7-0 on Thursday, Sept. 12.
The Maccabees struggled in doubles play, dropping all three matches to go down 1-0 headed into singles play. Unfortunately, the women in blue and white could not turn things around in their singles matchups, falling in all six to ultimately lose, 7-0.
About the contest, Coach Miller had to say, "A tough loss. We were competitive on all the courts, but they were the more experienced team."
With the loss, the Macs are now 1-2, 0-1 in Skyline play.

- Unfortunately, the Maccabees saw much of the same in singles play, with Adler (6-0, 6-2), Mimoun (6-3, 6-1), Leiderman (7-5, 6-1), Grunseid (6-2, 6-2) and Gabrielle Resnick (6-3, 7-5) all falling in straight sets.
- YU's best chance at picking up a point came in the No. 4 match, when Laufer pushed the match to a decisive third set following a first set win. However, she was overcome in the final period, ultimately dropping the tie-breaker, 10-5.
UP NEXT
Playing as the home team for the first time this season, the Macs will host Purchase College, on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2:00 PM.
