QUEENS, NY - Taking on the defending Skyline Conference Champions, the Yeshiva Women's Tennis team fell to Manhattanville University, losing to the Valiants by a score of 5-2 on Sunday, Sept. 22.
The Maccabees got off to a slow start in doubles play seeing just one win as the valiants took the point to go up 1-0. While Yeshiva were able to get on the board in singles play with wins in the No. 5 and No. 6 seeded matches, the effort was not enough to catch Manhattanville, as the Macs fell, 5-2.
About the match, Coach Miller had to say, "credit to captain
Sarah Grunseid for giving us wins in both doubles and singles."
With the loss, the Macs are now 2-4, 1-3 in conference play.

- Yeshiva's woes continued in singles play, as Adler (6-3, 6-0), Micka Mimoun (6-0, 6-2), Leiderman (7-5, 6-1) and Laufer (6-4, 6-0) all fell in straight sets.
- A pair of bright spots for the Macs came in the No. 5 and No. 6 seeded matches, when Grunseid (7[11]-6[9], 6-4) outlasted her opponent and Resnick (6-0, 6-0) swept hers. However, the two late points proved not enough to overcome Manhattanville's insurmountable lead, with the Macs ultimately losing, 5-2.
