TEANECK, NJ - Taking the diamond for the first time this season, the Yeshiva Baseball Team fell to Western Connecticut State University, losing to the Wolves by scores of 36-0 and 27-0 on Friday, Feb. 28th.
The Maccabees were led by
Jake Arnow, with the first year player blasting two hits in his Maccabee debut.
With the results, the Macs are now 0-2 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 36-0)
- The Maccabee defense struggled against the Wolves, conceding 36 runs. The lone bright spot on the mound came from Coby Kamish, with the sophomore notching two strikeouts and conceding just four runs over three innings pitched.
- Yeshiva's offense experienced similar issues. The Maccabees saw hits from Jacob Shakin in the first inning and Kamish in the sixth, but both runners were left stranded on first.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 27-0)
- Unable to break the game one momentum, Yeshiva surrendered 27 runs to the Wolves in game two. Jacob Canner excelled over three innings as pitcher, securing three strikeouts and allowing just six earned runs.
- Yeshiva saw hits from Arnow and captain Mendy Kanofsky, with Arnow even reaching second off a double in the bottom of the fourth. However, neither effort could bring in YU's first score of the season.
