BROOKLYN, NY - Taking on a crosstown rival, the Yeshiva Baseball team faced off against John Jay College, losing a pair of games to the Bloodhounds both by the score of 6-5 on Sunday, Mar. 9th.
Offensively, the Maccabees were led by
Jake Arnow, with the star catcher putting up three hits and a run in game one, and two hits and an RBI in game two.
From the mound, YU saw a stellar performance out of
Noah Steinmetz, with the first-year pitcher allowing just four hits while recording six strikeouts over 4.2 innings pitched.
With the losses, the Macs are now 0-6 on the year.

- The Maccabees were held scoreless through the first five innings, but finally broke through in the sixth. A Steinmetz single loaded the bases with no outs, allowing Noam Ouanounou and Mendy Kanofsky to stroll home after a pair of walks drove them in, slashing YU's deficit to 4-2.
- Yeshiva's offense continued their onslaught in the seventh, with Arnow scoring on a Ouanounou single, while Jacob Shakin and Lior Bongart came home on a pair of bases-loaded walks, giving the men in blue and white their first lead of the season at 5-4.
