SALEM, VA. - Locking down a spot on a list of the nation's best players,
Daniella Bessler has been unveiled as one of ten finalists for the prestigious Jostens Trophy, as announced on Friday, Mar. 14th.

The Jostens trophy is a national award to recognize the most outstanding men's and women's DIII basketball players of the year. Focusing on three major criteria, the award celebrates "basketball ability, academic prowess, and service to one's surrounding community."

Bessler joins peers from across the country, with players representing schools such as: Hanover College, New York University, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Illinois Wesleyan University, Luther College, Gallaudet University, Carnegie Mellon University, Carroll University, and Colorado College.

While the Rotary Club of Salem will be responsible for final evaluations, a fan vote will be announced on Monday, Mar. 17th.
