PATCHOGUE, NY - Taking on their first Skyline opponent of the season, the Yeshiva Men's Tennis Team took down St. Joseph's University Long Island, dominating the Golden Eagles by a score of 7-0 on Sunday, Mar. 23rd.
The Maccabees came out of the gate swinging, only dropping one game on the way to two strong doubles wins, going up 1-0. Maintaining that momentum, YU continued their roll in singles play, sweeping all five matches to secure a 7-0 win.
With the result, the Macs are now 3-3, 1-0 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:
- Starting the day off strong, Yeshiva dominated doubles play, with the duos of Matan Kamhi/Harry Radinsky and David Cattan/Leo Rahmey capturing 6-0 and 6-1 wins respectively.
- With the victories, the Macs carried a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Singles:
- Not letting their foot off the gas for even a second, Yeshiva continued to flatten their foes in singles. Kamhi (6-0, 6-0), Cattan (6-2, 6-2), Eithan Sapir (6-0, 6-2), Elan Goldstein (6-1, 6-1), and Jared Kinches (6-0, 6-0) all took down their opponents in straight sets, securing the 7-0 Yeshiva victory.
