BRONX, NY - Returning to conference play, the Yeshiva Softball Team fell to the University of Mount Saint Vincent, dropping a double header to the Dolphins by scores of 14-1 and 16-0 on Tuesday, Mar. 25th.

Simone Amkraut, with the freshman securing YU's only run of the evening.

With the result, the Macs are now 1-11, 0-4 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 1-14)
- While the Macs were held scoreless through the first two innings, they finally broke through in the third. After making her way to third on a walk, a groundout and a single, Amkraut crossed home after Ariella Addi grounded into a fielder's choice, securing the Macs their first and ultimately only run of the contest.

- Yeshiva's best chance to put up more points came in top of the fourth, when the women in blue and white loaded the bases with two outs. However, a strikeout to end the inning left all three runners stranded.

- The Maccabee pitching staff struggled, allowing two runs in the first, one in the second, one in the third, and 10 in the fourth.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 0-15)
- The Maccabees were held hitless in game two, only managing three base runners throughout.

- YU's best chance to score came in the top of the fifth, when Allison Bender reached third with two outs on a fielder's choice and a pair of wild pitches. However, a line out to the pitcher ended the inning and left her stranded.

- Yeshiva's pitchers continued to struggle against the Dolphin bats, surrendering four runs in the first, five in the second, five in the third and one in the fourth.
