PURCHASE, NY - Taking on their final April opponent, the Yeshiva Softball Team fell to Manhattanville University, losing to the Valiants by scores of 8-0 and 9-0 on Sunday, Apr. 27th.
Â
The Maccabees were led by
Simone Amkraut, with the New Jersey native tallying two hits across the pair of contests.
Â
With the results, the Macs are now 1-23, 0-14 in conference play.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 8-0)
- The Maccabees tallied three hits in game one, with Talia Finn smacking a single to center field in the first inning, Alyssa Feldman striking a single to right field in the third, and Amkraut notching a double to right in the fourth.
Â
- Amkraut's double proved YU's best chance to score, as Finn used the swing to come within inches of notching Yeshiva's first run, only to be thrown out at home.
Â
- Unfortunately, the Mac pitching staff did not fare much better, with the Valiants tallying all eight runs in the first inning.
Â

Â
HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 9-0)
- Yeshiva only notched one hit in game two, with Amkraut serving as the team's lone baserunner after smacking her second double of the day in the fourth.
Â
- The Manhattanville offense once again proved too much for YU's pitchers, putting up eight runs in the first and one in the third.
