BRONX, NY - Starting their season close to home in Van Cortlandt Park, the Yeshiva Women's Cross Country Team competed at the Br. John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champions, hosted by Iona University on Friday, Sept. 12th.
Taking part in the 5000m race, the Maccabees competed alongside: Princeton University, Columbia University, Yale University, Army West Point, Binghamton University, Lock Haven University, PennWest California and St. John's University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- As a team, the Macs finished with a score of 284, placing ninth of nine teams.
- On an individual level, Yeshiva was led by Moselle Goldstein, with the XC veteran placing in 79th with a time of 23:44.0.
- Also finishing in the top 85, Aliza Feldman placed 77th with a time of 24:45.9, and Sydney Lugo placed 83rd with a time of 29:24.9.
- Rounding out the field for the Macs, Bryna Berger finished 86th, Lily Hullman finished 87th, Aviva Klahr finished 88th, Madeline Dolfman finished 89th and Chaya Trapedo finished 91st.

Running again just two days later, the Macs will take part in the MSMC Invitational, hosted by Mount Saint Mary College on Sunday, Sept. 14th.
