BRONXVILLE, NY - Returning to conference play, the Yeshiva Softball Team fell to Sarah Lawrence College, dropping a doubleheader to the Gryphons by scores of 10-0 and 12-0 on Sunday, Mar. 22nd.

The Maccabees were led by Simone Amkraut and Elle Ohayon, with each player tallying a hit for YU.

With the result, the Macs are now 0-11, 0-6 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 1 (L, 10-0)
  • Yeshiva struggled in game one, being held without a hit. The Macs did manage a pair of baserunners when Ohayon walked in the third and Layla Hellman reached on an error in the fifth, but neither effort translated into runs.

  • Sarah Lawrence had no such problems scoring, putting up five runs in the first, four in the second, and one in the third.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Game 2 (L, 12-0)
  • The Maccabee bats found more success in the second game, tallying a pair of hits when Amkraut singled in the first and Ohayon singled in the fourth. Unfortunately, neither one netted the Macs a run.

  • Yeshiva were not without their chances to score, loading the bases with two outs in the first. Unfortunately, a strikeout from Eliana Kieffer ended the inning and left all three runners stranded.
