MADISON, NJ - Taking on MACFA opponents for the final time in the 2025-26 season, the Yeshiva Men's Fencing Team finished 13th at the MACFA Championships on Sunday, Mar. 1st.
The Maccabees faced off against 13 teams from across the northeast, crossing swords with: Johns Hopkins University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Cornell University, Stevens Institute of Technology, Haverford College, Drew University, Lafayette College, the United States Naval Academy, Rutgers University, the College of William & Mary, the United States Military Academy, the University of Maryland, and Hunter College.
Yeshiva finished 13th of 14 teams, besting Hunter.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Overall, the Maccabees secured up 25 bout wins.
- Yeshiva finished 12th in foil, picking up six wins thanks to two victories from Aden Lyons, one from Samuel Wallach, and three from Judah Greenbaum.
- The Macs placed 13th in epee, notching five wins off one from Emmit Dehart, two from Daniel Rosen, and one from David Deutsch.
- YU's best showing came in sabre, coming in 11th with 14 wins. Henry Wildes tallied three, Avy Nakache-Habib four, and Eitan Nissel four.
