Farmingdale Hands Lady Macs Second Loss of Young Season

NEW YORK, NY – The Yeshiva Maccabees women's basketball team hosted Skyline opponent Farmingdale State, Wednesday evening, at Baruch College. It was the Rams' first game of the season and Yeshiva's second. The Rams won the game 68-37 sending the Macs to 0-2 (0-2) on the season.

Yeshiva struggled to hold on to the ball, committing 39 turnovers while forcing only 16 on the Rams. The Macs shot 25% from the field and 44% from behind the arc. As a team they shot 81% from the free throw line (13-16).

Shir Fuchs led Yeshiva with 17 points on 4-12 shooting. She was 8-10 from the free throw line and 1-2 from 3-pt. range. Avigail Varnai recorded 9 points on three 3-pointers, while recording a team high 2 steals. Lauren Kempin led the team with 8 rebounds.

The Macs will be hosting NYU-Poly on Sunday, November 21st at Baruch College. The game is scheduled to begin at 1PM.
