NEW YORK, NY – The men's fencing team was at Drew University for the MACFA group A round robin on Sunday, and left with losses to Rutgers, Maryland, and Hunter. Final scores were 22-5 against Rutgers, 15-12 against Maryland, and 16-11 against Hunter. The Macs are still looking for their first victory of the season.
The saber squad defeated Hunter and Maryland 7-2 but that wasn't quite enough to get the team victory.
Jordan Feld won 8 out of 9 bouts on the afternoon, losing only against Rutgers.
Ariel Baruch was the top foil competitor for Yeshiva, accounting for 3 out of the 4 bout wins for the Macs. The epee squad won 7 bouts on the afternoon, led by
Jonathan Adler with 3 victories.
Hillel Kaye and
Ari Feldman each had 2 victories.
The next competition for Yeshiva will be on January 30th at Stevens Institute in Hoboken NJ. The event will be another MACFA group A round robin.
