NEW YORK, NY – The women's basketball team struggled to get off shots in Tuesday's game at Bard College, attempting a season-low 34 shots, and eventually lost 50-28 to the Raptors. Yeshiva is 0-4 (0-4) while Bard improved to 1-3 (1-0).
Shir Fuchs led all scorers with 15 points, and was the only Maccabee to connect on a three pointer. She finished shooting 5-9 from the field and 3-7 from long range.
Lauren Kempin followed with 6 points and a team high 7 rebounds.
Naomi Gofine and
Haley David each pulled down 6 boards.
Yeshiva's only lead came on the game's first basket, a jumper in the paint by
Naomi Gofine. However, a 26-9 run over the next 13 minutes gave Bard a 15 point edge, their largest of the half. The Macs would cut into that a bit, going into the locker room down 11 at 30-19.
The Macs struggled in the second half, attempting only 14 shots and connecting on only 3. Yeshiva was 0-4 in the half from behind the arc and 3-7 from the charity stripe.
Yeshiva has two straight home games coming up, the first on November 30th against Old Westbury (8PM at Baruch College) and the second against St. Joseph's Brooklyn (8PM at the HS for Girls).
