Men’s Basketball Back to Form with 66-53 Win Over Bard College

Haim's assist to Babo gave Yeshiva the lead for good
NEW YORK, NY – The men's basketball team snapped a three game skid with a 66-53 win on the road at Bard College Sunday afternoon. The win pushed the Macs to 7-10 (6-7) while dropping the Raptors to 1-18 (1-13).

Martin Leibovich scored 21 points and had 14 rebounds to lead the way. The double-double was the third in as many games, all played this past week. Chen Biron added 12 for Yeshiva, who shot 58% from the field in the game. Yeshiva held a 30-20 advantage at the half and extended it 3 more points in the second.

Bard held a lead for the opening 7 minutes before Ohad Babo scored on a layup that gave Yeshiva the lead for good. That lead came in the middle of a 12-0 run that put the Macs up by 9 with 8:38 on the clock. The Raptors cut the lead to 4 with less than 5 minutes to play, but that would prove to be as close as they would get for the rest of the game.

Leibovich scored 15 of his 21 in the second half, while Omer Haim recorded 6 of his 10 assists in the second, to help boost the Macs past Bard. The lead was as much as 15, but hovered around 10 for most of the final 20 minutes.

Yeshiva has four straight home conference games next, the first of which is Tuesday against Farmingdale at 8PM. They will host St. Joseph's on Thursday at 8, and then Sage on Sunday at 2PM.
