NEW YORK, NY – The men's fencing team hosted Hunter College and Stony Brook on Sunday, and came out victorious in both matches.  The Macs defeated Hunter 22-5 and then Stony Brook 16-11.  These were the Macs' third and fourth win of the season.
 
Yeshiva 22, Hunter 5 – The sabre squad won 6-3 behind three wins from Yitzchok Frankel and two from Kevin Geller.  Daniel Levine earned the other victory for the squad.  With 3 wins from Ariel Baruch and Brian Goodman, the foil squad won 8-1.  Jacob Chevlen won both matches he fenced.  The epee squad's 8-1 victory came behind three wins from Jared Anstandig and Hillel Kaye.  Alan Leidner earned the other two wins.
 
Yeshiva 16, Stony Brook 11 – Sabre won 6-3, with Frankel, Geller and Zachary Fink winning 2 each.  Stony Brook's foil squad defeated Yeshiva 7-2, as Brian Goodman and Ariel Baruch were the only fencers to get a victory.  With only 3 epee competitors, Stony Brook managed only 1 win, giving Yeshiva the 8-1 victory and 16-11 overall win.
 
This was the final matches before the long break.  The team will be returning to action on January 29^th, when they take part in the MACFA round robin at SIT.
