Shlomo Weissberg, pulled out the 74-67 victory.
The first half consisted of four lead changes and four ties in the first 12 minutes of the half. Mt. St. Vincent looked like they were about to finally pull away as Jon Moore hit a three pointer making the score 24-17, giving Mt St. Vincent the biggest lead of half. Then the Macs raised their play to another level and went on a 20-4 run giving Yeshiva a 37-28 lead going into half time. During the Macs run Senior
Chen Biron scored 12 points including two three pointers and going 4-4 from the line.
In the second half, the inside play from Hoffman and Weissberg took over the game. The two combined for 21 points and 20 rebounds in the half, including 10 offensive rebounds. The domination in the paint allowed Yeshiva to hold a comfortable lead through the second half and get the Macs the victory 74-67. Hoffman finished the game with 20 points and 16 rebounds and Weissberg finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds. The leading scorer for Yeshiva was Biron, who finished the game with 22 points.
The Maccabees will be back in action tonight as they travel to Brooklyn, NY to face off against Polytechnic at 8:00 Pm
