NEW YORK, NY – The women's basketball team traveled to Albany for games with Albany Pharmacy and Sage College this past weekend. The Lady Macs fell to Albany Pharmacy on Saturday night 75-31, and to Sage on Sunday 73-45.
Against Albany Pharmacy, the Lady Macs were led by
Shir Fuchs with 12 points, followed closely by
Naomi Gofine with 11 points.
Lauren Kempin led the team with 9 rebounds, and
Avigail Varnai had a team high 9 assists. The loss means Yeshiva will be the 4th seed in the upcoming HVWAC playoffs, and will face 5th seeded New Rochelle on Thursday the 17th.
At Sage, Varnai scored 17 and pulled down 9 rebounds. Fuchs tallied 11 and
Moriah Green came off the bench to add 7 points.
The team has a road contest at Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday at 8PM, before hosting the play-in game with New Rochelle on Thursday. The HVWAC game will be held at New Rochelle, although Yeshiva is the designated home team. A win Thursday night will send Yeshiva into the semi-finals on Saturday night, again at New Rochelle.
