NEW YORK, NY – The women's basketball team defeated Bard at home 63-58 in the season finale. The win is Yeshiva's 4th of the season. The difference came on the free throw line where Yeshiva was near perfect at 22-25 compared to Bard's 5-11 effort.

Leading the way in her final game as a Maccabee was Shir Fuchs with 25 points. She also put the game out of reach for Bard, sinking 4 critical free throws in the final 21 seconds. Lauren Kempin, also in her final game, had a double-double 17 points and 10 rebounds, while blocking 4 shots and stealing 4 passes. Avigail Varnai, Yeshiva's other senior, ended the night with 10 points and 7 assists. Naomi Gofine scored 9 and had 10 rebounds.

The Lady Macs led most of the first half, pushing their lead to as much as 8 on multiple occasions. For the second time this season in conference play, Yeshiva held an edge at halftime, although this time they would hold on for the win.

Bard didn't go home without a fight, and they quickly erased Yeshiva's lead and took one of their own with 5:47 to play. Each time Yeshiva would go up by 3, Bard would come right back and score a basket of their own. With 2:17 to play, and a 1 point lead, Yeshiva's defense held Bard to only one shot, and forced 3 turnovers down the stretch. Holding on by 1, Yeshiva's Shir Fuchs hit two foul shots with 21 seconds on the clock. Bard was forced into a turnover on their next possession, and Fuchs hit 2 more to seal the 63-58 victory.
