YONKERS, N.Y. - Sophomore Leon Aboudi (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) netted two goals in the opening 27 minutes of play Monday night at Tibbetts Brook Park, and added the eventual game-winning tally in the 61st minute to complete his first collegiate hat trick, as the Yeshiva University men's soccer team captured a 4-3, Skyline Conference victory over host College of Mount Saint Vincent.

Aboudi gave the Maccabees a lead which it would not relinquish 24 minutes in, as he was hauled down in the box and converted the subsequent spot kick. Less than three minutes later, he doubled YU's advantage when he slotted home a feed from the left flank by junior Jeremy Seftel (Cherry Hill, N.J.).

After the host Dolphins countered with a goal at the 31-minute mark, Yeshiva went into the halftime break with a 3-1 advantage after Seftel finished at the far post for his first goal of the season off a right-side cross from freshman Gilad Bengio (Hollywood, Fla.).

CMSV pulled back within one goal on a penalty kick in the 54th minute, before Aboudi lifted the Macs' lead to 4-2 when he sent home Seftel's corner kick in the 61st minute of play.

Mount Saint Vincent once again cut its deficit to one goal (4-3) in the 71st minute of the match, but YU senior keeper Joseph Blechner (Brookline, Mass.; six saves) and his defense made the lead stand up throughout the duration of the contest.

Yeshiva held a 20-16 edge in shots, while the hosts owned a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.

Interim head coach Shua Pransky's Maccabees are back in Skyline action Wednesday night, when they travel to Purchase (N.Y.) College for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
