Michael Alpert (Oviedo, Fla.) captured an 8-5 decision at heavyweight versus Nicholas Gioncaspro on Thursday night, but it was not enough for the Yeshiva University wrestling team, which dropped its season opener by a 42-15 count at College of Mount Saint Vincent.
