Box Score

NEW YORK, NY – The women's basketball team opened their game against New Rochelle with a 6-0 run, but was unable to hold that momentum throughout the game, falling 79-73.  The Macs dropped to 1-12 (0-3) while CNR improved to 7-14 (2-3) on the season.

Haley David scored a career high 28 points on 11-24 shooting, while also grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double.  Daniella Litwin followed with 19 points and Rebecca Yoshor added 17 points and 5 blocked shots.  Moriah Green led the team with 5 assists.

Yeshiva led most of the first half, trailing briefly midway through the half and by only 3 at the break.  The second half proved to be all New Rochelle, as they opened up a 17 point lead with 5 minutes to play.  Despite the dominating score for the Blue Angels, the Maccabees kept hitting their shots, and forcing CNR to miss, and found themselves right back in the game down only 4 with 22 seconds to play.  Quick ball movement by CNR kept Yeshiva from stopping the clock down the stretch, and the Blue Angels closed the game with 2 free throws for the 6 point win.

The Macs have their final home game on Sunday, against Vaughn College at 1PM.  The game will be held at Baruch College and will honor the team's three senior student-athletes.
