NEW YORK, NY – The women's basketball team ended their season on a high note, defeating Coope Union 73-33 Sunday morning.  The women close the season with a 4-14 mark, having won 3 of their last 5 games and last two this season.
 
Haley David led all scorers and rebounders with 27 points and 18 rebounds.  Rebecca Yoshor added 16 points and 17 boards, while Naomi Gofine tallied 11 points and 12 boards.  Yoshor led the team with 5 steals and 4 blocks, while Mercedes Cohen had a team high 5 assists.  Yeshiva shot 44% from the field and limited Cooper Union to 14%, although the Macs committed 6 more turnovers compared to their opponent.
 
For the season, Yeshiva shot 30% from the field and 66% from the free throw line.  The team grabbed 45.5 rebounds per game, only 3.5 less per game than their opponents.  The Macs averaged 8.1 assists per game and 6.5 steals per game.
 
Individually, Haley David and Rebecca Yoshor each had 28 point games this season, leading the way for points in a single game.  David led the team with 4 three-point field goals made against New Rochelle, while Mercedes Cohen had the only perfect game from behind the arc for the Macs this season (2-2 against Medgar Evers).  Yoshor had a team high 11 free throws made against Berkeley and she also pulled down 25 rebounds against New Rochelle to lead the team in that category.
