NEW YORK, NY – The women's tennis team closed out their 2011-2012 campaign this past Sunday, with a 7-2 victory over Lehman College on the road. The women finished with a 4-5 overall record.
Yeshiva started the afternoon winning 2 of 3 doubles matches, blanking Lehman in 1
st and 2
nd doubles. The third doubles team nearly won their match, but came up short 8-6.
Shara Feltheimer and
Stephanie Danoff teamed up to take first doubles and
Esti Reichman and
Eliana Trink paired up to take second doubles.
Tzippy Carl and
Miri Reichman fell just short in third doubles.
The only singles loss for Yeshiva was at 6
th singles, as the Macs took care of Lehman easily in spots 1-5. Feltheimer won 10-4, which was the closest of any of the singles wins. Danoff and Trink won 10-1 in 2
nd and 4
th singles, while
Esti Reichman and
Tzippy Carl won 10-0 in 3
rd and 5
th singles play.
