LEVITTOWN, N.Y.— The Yeshiva men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision on the road to the College at Old Westbury on Tuesday evening, in a match played at MacArthur High School field, near the OW campus.
The host Panthers scored a pair of goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead. OW got on the scoreboard midway through the eleventh minute on a strike by Scott Carey, his second of the year. Then less than two seconds into the twenty second minute, the Panthers scored again on a goal by Kevin Skaalerud. OW rounded out the scoring with one more goal in the second half when Adan Cruz-Velazquez netted one at 71:49.
OW outshot the Maccabees 27-7 in the contest.
Daniel Benchimol fired a team-high three shots, while
Leon Aboudi had two.
Doron David started in goal and made 10 saves for Yeshiva.
